The Lakeland Fellowship is a new church  which began in the Spring of 2004. Our  gatherings are held in McKeel Elementary  Academy,  at 411 N. Florida Ave. in Lakeland. 

    Our Mission is to be faithful to the Great  Commandment  and  obedient to the  Great Commission of our Lord, Jesus Christ. 

  Our goal is to be a moderate Baptist Church in Polk county partnering with Cooperative Baptist Fellowship as we strive  to be the  presence of Christ wherever we are. 

  Our worship services are  Christ-centered with a strong emphasis on evangelism, teaching, and missions.  We strive to blend  contemporary and traditional  music to provide a worshipful experience.

      As moderate Baptists, we 

• are more about Do's than Don'ts
• seek to preach and practice the love and forgiveness  of a merciful God
• advocate caring for excluded and marginalized people 
• practice equality of men & women
• stand for separation of Church & State
• believe second marriages can be blessed by God
• nurture a servant attitude among our leaders
• are congregation led

                      Our Pastor                            Rev. Tim Sizemore

Tim Sizemore was born in Mobile , Alabama and grew up in the community of Fairview , Alabama .  He became a follower of Jesus at the age of fifteen.  After graduating from Sulligent High School , he earned a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Divinity.  In over 14 years of pastoral ministry, he has served churches in Alabama , Tennessee and Florida .  For the past 8 years, he served as pastor of the First Baptist Church of Sneads, Florida.

     Tim and his wife, Regena, have been married for almost 17 years.  They have three children, Andrew (11 years), Abigail (9) and Anna (7).  Regena is a middle school science teacher.  Tim enjoys coaching his children’s baseball and softball teams.  He is also an avid sports fan.  

     Tim believes a pastor should lead as a servant with sincerity, humility and transparency.  He values active involvement in the community and wants The Lakeland Fellowship to be a “place of grace” where people can learn to live and love like free and faithful followers of Jesus in the 21^st Century.
